...doin it old skool:

im an old fan,seen em numerous times,but i stopped just like many of you did.i picked this up to give them one last chance....i'm glad i did!!!!this should've been the album after and justice.they're finally writing memorable riffs again,like they use too.i know many will hate me for this,but i actually like this album better that lightning...hmmm

IMPRESSIVE:

I have to say I was shocked, stunned, on my first listen to this album. I had not idea that Metallica had any of their 80s sound left. I have been listening to, and a die hard follower of Metallica since 1985. After St. Anger, I did not know what to expect. After seeing the fallout of the band's recording on "Some Kind of Monster", I fully understood the raw sound of that album. Bob Rock should be hung!:

I was very sceptical, and have stayed away from buying Death Magnetic based on the last 15 years of Metallica music. Then I heard the album from start to finish this weekend. I went out and picked it up the next morning.
