new basement buildout:
I must say for the price I got everything I expected and for less than the retail home improvement stores. The electrician on my home couldn't tell I paid less. It works as it is suppossed to. If you are looking for speed control, make sure to get the Hunter speed switch for the wall - this model is not equipped with it in the box, but if you don't need it, the price is great. You set speed with the pull chain and the wall switch is on - off; which was good enough for my application.
Good quiet fan:
Good, quiet fan, with low profile, quality look, and fairly easy to insatll. Know your tradoff though. Low profile = less air movement We had a problem with the speed pull cord initially where instead of going Off->High->Med->Low it did something funky like Off->High->Off->Low->Medium it was very annoying as you were always guessing which off it was in. Anyway Hunter send a replacement module and it has worked perfectly since then. One other person mentioned this and i concur that it doesn't... more info

Very good ceiling fan at a great price. Low profile, easy to assemble. Hard to beat.
doesn't hug ceiling:
I bought 2 of these fans - home depot carries them for $139 each so I bought them on amazon. They were installed today - look nice but they do not "hug" the ceiling. There is about a 1/4" gap between the fan base and the ceiling which looks a little strange. I would advise if someone doesn't want that gap to buy another brand.
