My girlfriend has had this for a while and I'm always reading it. As someone with a couple health conditions, this is a great reference to get a simple low down on various food and how they can help you. Sure, there are more in depth books out there, but as a quick reference, the short descriptions and the friendly index help adjust your diet for certain ailments. This is a short book; it doesn't have too much that one would call revolutionary in it. But it's a nice, economical listing of some of the best immunity-boosting foods out there. Not many surprises, but a good overview:
I would have liked more in-depth info on these immunity boosters. Instead, this book has a brief overview of the items chosen plus a recipe for incorporating it into your diet. Not surprisingly, most of the foods are various fruits & veggies, but some herbs, meat and fish, and yogurt are included, too.
