When my doctor told me my blood glucose level was above normal, I was absolutely stunned -- and panicked. This book was a tremendous help as far as getting informed and taking proactive measures. My glucose was much lower after taking this advice, and it has stayed there. DO also read about glycemic index and especially GLYCEMIC LOAD (great resources online, especially) and learn what foods are your friends. Informative but limited in its reach.:
This book does have some good information, but in my opinion, it's only suitable for someone who knows absolutely nothing about diabetes or health in general, and who doesn't consider himself a "reader." The tone is a bit patronizing, as if the reader is in grade school, and the cars & travel analogy is distracting & overdone.

What's the difference between 'prediabetes' and all-out diabetes? Can a diagnosis of 'prediabetes' be reversed?
