I had to purchase this book for an Endocrinology course I was taking; and from the very beginning, I did not enjoy reading it and found it very difficult to do so. Everything is so bland as far as the layout of the text, the coloring, the illustrations, etc. The paragraphs are very wordy and small print, so lots on one page. Another thing I don't like is that there are no review questions at the end of each chapter, nor are there any at the end of the book. There is also no glossary in the book, which makes... more info

This book was required, so I really did not personally select it. However it is a good textbook: very concise, good summary boxes and tables, useful figures, and nice case histories to illustrate the concepts.
