A trip to the eye doctor can be a life-changing experience for a child with vision problems. In this lively story, the author recounts her own son's journey from "blurries and squiggles" to a bright new day when "the first thing I saw was the smile on my Mom..." The story is written in simple verse and provides a child-friendly look at eye-exams. It is accompanied with bright, colorful illustrations. The author makes a case for early diagnosis and includes information about eye-care for children, statistics and web-references.

Excellent:
Ran across this cute book in Waiting Room. Thought it was excellent. Had my children needed glasses this would have been a "must share" with them.
Not a fan, but my daughter is:
We bought this book for our daughter when she needed to get glasses at 15 months. The premise is good, but the execution annoys me. The illustrations are poor and make some of the characters look downright scary. The author tries to get cute and use "I's" instead of "eyes", but does so inconsistently which just makes it seem wrong instead of cute. But who am I to judge, my daughter loves it.
Julie:
A creative, child friendly tale that should help any child suffering from vision problems have a better understanding of his/her situation. Beautifully illustrated and fun to read. I've recommended this book to several parents. My entire family enjoyed sharing this book together.
A Fun Way to Help Your Child with Glasses:
My nephew has just been through the same experience as the boy in Glasses, Glasses, Oh What Do I see. The humor and open approach to getting help with glasses is right on the money. I'd recommend this for any child and parent (or teacher) that is going through this. And - the pictures are great!
