My "Go To" Book:
This book and the sequel, "More Creative Interventions" are probably the most two used books on my bookshelf. I use the activities in the books all the time. The activities are creative, fun and engaging with clients of all ages. I love this book and highly recommend it! Megan Cowan, M.S.W., R.S.W.
too many arts and crafts:
As a mental health therapist, I found this book to be very hands on and not as appropriate for a therapuetic setting.
Counselor must have!!!!:
I absolutely love this book. I have this one and the sequel as well. both are chopped full of activities. I use it wiht junior high and high school level. Some of the stuff I have had to adapt to my setting and it is easy to do. As some others have said, some activities require certain games. One game I actually found (well, an off brand) at a dollar store. I have only my own money to spend on my practice as I work for a non-profit but I have been able to do pretty much everything in the book at some time... more info
