Your hormones are the key to your body type, what foods you crave, and where you put on weight. Find out how they are also the key to weight loss in THE BODY SHAPING DIET, a revolutionary new approach to dieting and weight loss. According to Dr. Sandra Cabot, all women belong to one of four body types--android, gynaeoid, lymphatic, or thyroid--and this category determines trouble spots and the foods that spell danger for one's figure. THE BODY SHAPING DIET starts by teaching women how to recognize their body type, and then presents a healthy diet and exercise program, tailored to each body type, that will lead to weight loss. Once your ideal weight is achieved, Dr. Cabot offers a comprehensive maintenance program that will keep those pesky pounds off. With case studies of successful clients and over 125 recipes, THE BODY SHAPING DIET will bring you new understanding of how your body reacts to certain foods and will teach you proven and lasting techniques to create--and keep--the body shape you want.

Reviewer confusion:
I haven't read the book, just want to comment on Reviewer's misunderstanding of phytoestrogens. They bind estrogen receptors and turn them on, but at a much lower rate than the body's estrogen. Since they bind competitively, they in effect turn the estrogen signal down if a woman is high in estrogen. If a woman is menopausal and low in estrogen, they give a little estrogen boost. That's why they are helpful both in PMS and menopause.
This Book is Sometimes Confusing and Misleading:

Very helpful for all women.:
I was very impressed with her ideas. I am a Thyroid type person and learned that I could help myself feel less stressed by avoiding sugar. Her information is very helpful, but it is difficult to put together the information you need because of how the book is structured. It is worth the work if you are serious about finding a better way.
