A unique source of the most recent diabetes research and its practical implications:
The author presents information you won't get at your endocrinologist's office, because most doctors don't have the time to read the latest research and often blindly follow the recommendations of the ADA. A must read!:
I was recently diagnosed with gestational diabetes, and searching for information. This book is WONDERFUL. It gave me hope, and a reason to take good care of my body, as the horrible side effects (neuropathy, retinopathy, etc.) are NOT inevitable! The author does a great job of explaining research and every aspect of diabetes in a way that the average person can understand. This should be required reading for any person diagnosed with diabetes.
