Ophthalmology Made Ridiculously Simple (Medmaster Ridiculously Simple) I am an retired ophthalmologist who spends part of the year supervising medical students in Australia. I deliver a number of lectures under the title of Undergraduate Ophthalmology. Drs Goldberg and Trattler's little book is an admirable resource for both me and the students I teach. For undergraduates, eye diseases are regarded as tiger country and this little book most certainly provides a splendid guide through the ocular jungle.... more info

tough reading for the beginner, good points for the advanced individual
Essential Reading before your Clerkship:
I was given this textbook by the attending before the rotation and told to read it before showing up the first day. I'm glad I did, because it was the perfect introduction to clinical ophthalmology. It can be read in an evening. Not suitable as a reference, but fulfills it's objectives admirably.
Breeze to Read:
This book is a breeze to read and help you get the whole jist in order to make a generalized diagnosis when one sees a patient. It also includes the Examination techniques. But, you will still require a textbook in order to write the answers to difficult theory questions.
