Not the best cardiology book written!:
I was seeking out a review on cardiology and thought this book would be great for what I was looking for. This wasn't the case however. I found the book too long, too wordy and found only 25% of the book useful for what I needed. The book included a CD which I found more impressive than the book itself. If you are looking for reading/reviewing information on a particular part of cardiology, seek out a different book a little more specific to your needs.
Clinical Cardiology Made Ridiculously Simple:
What a easy and delightful way to quickly review clinical cardiology. The cartoons and clinical pearls are right on with any new practitoner. The lighhearted humour makes reading a pleasure. The clinic CD is a tool to be used over and over again. Dr. Chizner has created a valuable, easy to use learning guide for the beginner and the practicing clinician alike.
Cardiology Made Simple, Beautifully!:
Dr. Chizner did a phenomenal job in creating the 2nd edition of Clinical cardiology. You can clearly see his passion in cardiology by all that he puts into his work on this book. In just 345 pages the book will take you through clinical perspectives in cardiology, history of a patient with CAD, physical findings, what tests should be administered, how to read the tests and understand them, different case studies are presented. The interactive CD's used to mimic the actual sounds of the heart, a murmur. This... more info
Easy Read for Clinical Understanding:
I am a first year medical school student and I purchased this book before beginning the review of the cardiovascular system. This book was very helpful in giving me clinical perspectives, however I was slightly disappointed it did not contain any physiology (making me have to get a separate book to review cardio-phys). Overall, I would recommend this book to any individual thinking about going into cardiology, it is an easy read.
