Have enjoyed this book tremendously. Not my usual speed for reading but would like to read other stuff like this. I have learned a lot and it certainly explains some questions I had in my mind. Good choice I made in reading material.
Muddled miscomprehension:
Sutton's major starting point for his argument here is with Trotsky's trip back to Russia from New York in early 1917. Kerensky had requested that Trotsky be allowed back to Russia and the US government agreed to this. Sutton starts his argument off by completely misinterpreting the meaning of these events. Sutton tries to cast this as if it were evidence of a plot to place the Bolsheviks in power, but Trotsky was not a Bolshevik at the time. This book fails to identify that most of the capitalist interests were Jewish and 98% of the Bolsheviks were Jewish and they overthrew the Czar after he had already abdicated.The capitalist Jews in America were interested in the riches of Russia and creating a utopia. The first failed revolution in 1905 ended with many of the Russian Jews scrambling out of Russia into Germany.They were lucky Germany took them in.
