Worst Spider-Man story ever!:
To start, I have always been a Marvel fan, also I have been a Spider-Man fan since I can remember first reading comics. Spider-Man has always been the hero that makes the hard choices and has been the morale compass of the Marvel universe. This story line was an insult to the character of Spider-Man and it was an insult to Spider-Man fans. I stopped subscribing to the comic book after I read the last issue in this story arc.
The story line did not fit Spider-Man's character at all, especially... more info
The worst Spider-man story ever!:
One of the things I've liked about Marvel over the years is that unlike DC they try to avoid hitting the reset button when things go stale or get themselves into a fix. Unfortunately, it only increased my incredulity, as... more info
a good, hard hit on the head:
yes, this story is a hard hit on everyone's head. yet, as the author explains in the direct version of the comic book, one that needed to be done to keep the characters alive and non-static. i had no idea that this turn of the story would be taken, and even if you know that straczynski considers himself a hired gun, the story is very emotional, dense, and most of all -- totally logic in terms of comic book logic. being a biologist who chose this profession mostly because of peter parker's... more info
