The best book I've ever read:
The best book in this area. It has everything you need to know in respiratory physiology and some basic principles are also useful in cardiovascular physiology. The writing style is also very good, conversational. And I don't have words to describe the CD, is also perfect, the animations are extremely... more info

Really good for pathophysiology:
I ended up looking at a bunch of my friends' books, including West, before picking out this one to help me with the resp portion of my pathophys course. I loved this one. It was so easy to read - you know, it felt like someone was talking to me and just explaining things in a really plain, easy to understand way.
