Outdated and difficult to use:
I was really disappointed in the usefulness of this reference. Many current tests were not included in this book. The organization of the book was very poor and even common tests were difficult to locate. I wound up buying another book.
Just what I was looking for:
When I recently went to work for a Hospice service, I needed a book I could take with me on the road. A friend recommended this one, and I couldn't be more happy. It includes every nearly every blood test, normal lab values, whether or not the patient needs to be NPO, and even which tube to draw the blood in. Just the right information, and in a convenient size, too.
