Easy, delicious and practical cooking!:
As a family that eats very little meat, this cookbook has really done wonders for us! Directions are simple, recipes are great for everyday use, and we have yet to make something we haven't loved! I highly recommend it, and other books by Nava Atlas. She knows a lot about cooking for families. Many books on vegetarian cooking are so pretentious! Great place to start for vegetarian recipes, but...:
I like this recipe book for its family-friendly approach. It has great basic recipes, and my family has enjoyed most of the recipes we've tried. The only drawback I've found is that the food, as prepared per the recipe, tends to be bland. I usually research my other recipe books on what spices to add and have been pleased with the results. The book does suggest "embellishments", but usually not amounts to add.
not much new here:

This book didn't really offer much new from any other veg book and nothing really new or inspiring for my picky kids. If you are looking for a basic simple veg book this one is okay. It offers plenty of vegan recipes, maybe more vegan than vegetarian. Not the best book ever.
One of the greatest and most used books in my kitchen/ This one is for the whole family!:
The recipes are so easy and I love how nava atlas lists other side dishes on the same page to make a well balanced meal. I orignally bought this book to introduce my little ones to vegetables as the book promises on the back cover that it is the only vegetarian cookbook designed to satisy every member of the family and I am amazed my 3 year old eating all the veggies on his plate and actually loving it and asking for more. My husband and I just love this book, I use it just about every day. I am currently... more info
