This comprehensive book for respiratory therapists covers all key aspects of respiratory care. Its careful organization and concise, clear language make the subject matter easy to understand. Topics are reinforced with logical and intuitive learning aids such as "Best Practices," spotlights on new therapy or equipment, patient case studies, and references to AARC clinical practice guidelines. You'll also find important sections such as geriatric care and applied sciences that are not covered in other books. A fine complement of photographs, tables, and figures illustrates key points and improves comprehension. (respiratory therapy, RC, RT, RTT)

Should be the last on your list for resp. care knowledge:
I am an RT student and this was one of our required texts. We were the first class to have this book inflicted on us. Numerous mistakes have been found, by the students! Some of the answers to the review questions at the end of each chapter are nowhere to be found. We are all having a book burning party at the end of the semester. (That is not a joke) Please do not subject yourself to this book! Egans rules!
