A Readable Book About a Difficult Topic:
This is the most readable book I have found about Bipolar Disorder. It covers all the basics, deals with the "tough stuff", and has accurate, researched, technical informational. All throughout it made me laugh about a topic which often brings little laughter. I highly recommend it.
The Perfect Handbook:
Written with humor, intelligence and straight forward answers, this book priceless. I have always loved the "For Dummies" format for computer and web design related things but I had no idea it could be so helpful with mood disorders.
It speaks to you in plain english, uses real life situations and common sense answers. It is NOT a replacement for treatment, but it is an EXCELLENT guide to finding the RIGHT treatment, asking the right questions and helping you understand the condition.

I'm the Bipolar Bear:

I discovered that my ex-wife (the author of "The Bipolar Bear Family") was not only a stress point for me but was also a sabetur in my treatment. I learned how to set up a healthy support system with my friends and family. This is a must read for those who are diagnosed or may be diagnosed with this elusive disorder. Family and... more info

I ate it up and digested it as if I had discovered some exotic food for the first time that I couldn't get enough of. Talk about answers!!! From the first... more info
