OK as a textbook but not suitable as a reference text:

Concise and superbly illustrated, this textbook will serve well as an introduction to Hepatology for GI fellows, internists and non-hepatologists. A busy practitioner will probably find pathophysiology sections too lengthy and will be better served by a "practical approach" type text. An established hepatologist will certainly enjoy a wealth of full-color photographic material and an easy access to basic information about conditions rarely seen in clinical practice.
