Be sure you know this is the workbook!:
I accidentally purchased this, when I actually wanted the textbook. The textbook and workbook at titled the same, though you can see (sort of) "workbook for" at the top of the page that sells the workbook. Textbooks are a real rip off, so it's great students can buy used ones on amazon. This Maternal/Newborn book sells for 100 bucks new, and you can get it on amazon for under 20 dollars. I never buy the workbooks, because I think they're just a way for the publishers to make more money than they already do,... more info
typical study guide:
crossword puzzles, matching, and a few multiple choice questions in each section. borrow a classmate's before buying...
Fairly good text book with a great website.:
I was required to purchase this text book for nursing school. I find the explanations to be good but it could use more nursing diagnosis and nursing interventions like the fundamental text distributed by the same company. I also recieved the workbook. It does not follow the text. The entire class and the instructors are griping over this fact. I,however,love the website that accompanies this text because it is easy to use unlike some nursing text websites.
Excellent Supplement to Text:
Great supplement to the text. There is so much material to know and this helps to take the important points from the text and helps a student apply it. I used this as a study guide with the text and did very well in the course. I recommend this study guide to all nursing students.
